Nobody leaves motivated.

Motivation wears off by Tuesday. I would rather your people left thinking differently about themselves, because that lasts considerably longer.

I don't do inspirational. Inspirational is a feeling, and feelings evaporate somewhere on the drive home.

I do the thing where someone in row four suddenly works out why they have been saying yes to everything for eleven years, and then they can't unsee it.

There is storytelling, because that is how people actually learn anything. There is humour, because I do stand-up and I can't help it. And there is always something practical, because an idea nobody can use is just entertainment.

Honest. Funny. Occasionally uncomfortable. Always useful.

The talks

Most of the rules you're living by aren't yours The signature talk. Where inherited beliefs come from, why we keep obeying rules nobody ever actually agreed to, and what changes when people work out which ones are genuinely theirs. They leave with: a way to spot an inherited rule in real time, and permission to put a few of them down. Best for: conferences, member events, women's networks, mixed audiences. Rebuilding is not failure What actually happens to identity, confidence and decision making when life takes something apart. Divorce, redundancy, grief, burnout, the house that got quiet. And what genuinely helps at each stage. They leave with: a realistic map of rebuilding, and considerably less shame about where they are on it. Best for: member organisations, wellbeing programmes, community events, women's networks. Confidence is not a personality trait Confidence gets sold as something you either have or successfully fake. It is neither. It is a by-product of understanding yourself, which means it is buildable. They leave with: why confidence falls apart under change, and what actually rebuilds it. Best for: leadership programmes, emerging leaders, teams after a restructure. AI is not a tool. It's a thinking partner. Most people are using AI as a faster search engine and quietly wondering why nothing has changed. This is about using it to think better, ask sharper questions and make better decisions. They leave with: a different relationship with AI, and prompts they will use that afternoon. Best for: leadership teams, conferences, organisations partway through adoption.

Every talk gets rebuilt for your room. Tell me who is in the audience and what is actually going on for them, and I will write it around that.

Formats

Keynote, 30 to 60 minutes Workshop, half day or full day Fireside or hosted Q&A Panel Leadership session, small group

For organisations and conferences

Leadership offsites, all-hands, conferences, wellbeing weeks, women in leadership programmes, teams going through change. If your people are being asked to adapt to something, this is the work.

For communities and member organisations

Women's networks, member associations, community events, fundraisers. Smaller rooms, more honesty, and usually the better conversations afterwards.

Both get the same preparation. Budgets differ, so tell me yours and I will tell you straight whether I can make it work.
